2025 Cinnamon Industry Brief
China is a major global cinnamon producer, accounting for over 80% of the world's total output. Cinnamon is mainly grown in Guangdong, Guangxi and Yunnan. Among them, Gaoyao in Guangdong has a cinnamon planting area of over 700,000 mu and is an important national cinnamon export hub; Guangxi cinnamon has a stronger flavor, with large-scale planting in many places, providing stable raw materials for the market. These production areas have a suitable climate for growing high-quality cinnamon, which also provides sufficient supplies for cinnamon processing (such as cinnamon rolls, cinnamon chips, etc.).
International cinnamon trade is active. Vietnam exported 1,504 tons of cinnamon to China in the first four months, a significant year-on-year increase, mainly to supplement domestic processing needs. China, on the other hand, exports a large amount of cinnamon to India, the Middle East, North America and other regions, with Guangdong being one of the main export locations. In the global market, Vietnam and Indonesia are also important cinnamon exporters, and India is the main buyer of Vietnamese cinnamon.
Cinnamon has a wide range of uses. It can be used as a cooking spice to add flavor to stews and baked goods, and also has many benefits. It contains antioxidants, helps reduce inflammation, and is beneficial for regulating blood sugar, blood pressure and cholesterol. In traditional understanding, cinnamon can also dispel cold, relieve pain and warm the meridians, making it suitable for consumption in autumn and winter. The cinnamon rolls, cinnamon chips, cinnamon powder and pressed cinnamon provided by the company can meet the needs of different cooking and usage scenarios.
Global demand for cinnamon is growing at an annual rate of 8%-12%, with demand from the food, pharmaceutical and other sectors being the main driving force. For enterprises focusing on cinnamon rolls, cinnamon chips, cinnamon powder and pressed cinnamon, they can focus on "health", highlighting advantages such as sulfur-free processing; at the same time, launch suitable products for catering and food processing enterprises, and expand overseas emerging markets with the help of free trade agreements, seizing the domestic autumn and winter health consumption trend.
